BOULDER CITY, NEV. – The Niagara men's golf program concluded the JackRabbit Invitational in 12th place out of 12 teams with a team score of 953 (+89).
Freshman
Carlos Hernandez finished atop the Niagara scorecared with a 54-hole score of 234 (+18). The first-year Purple Eagle moved up 12 spots in the final round with a score of 74 (+2).
Ben Fey finished tied for 68th with a three-round score of 236 (+20) after recording a score of 74 in round three.
Ben Hebert, who came into the day tied for 64th overall, finished the invitational tied for 76th with a score of 239 (+23) after recording an 81 (+9) in round three.
Owen Gauder recorded an 83 (+11) in round three to finish with a score of 244 (+28) and
Ian Wagner recorded a 54-hole score of 254 (+38) to finish 83rd and 84th overall.
Niagara Notes
• Hernandez, Fey, and Hebert each recorded a team-low 74 during the three-round event.
• Niagara finished with 27 birdies as a team, led by Hernandez with 10.
• Niagara finished with stroke averages of 3.33 on par-3's, 4.59 on par-4's and 5.08 on par-5's.
