BOULDER CITY, NEV. – The Niagara men's golf program sits in 12th out of 12 teams after two rounds of play at the JackRabbit Invitational. The Purple Eagles recorded a team score of 641 (+65).
Freshman
Ben Hebert recorded a 74 (+2) in round one before posting an 84 (+12) in round two to currently sit tied for 64th with a 36-hole score of 158 (+14).
Carlos Hernandez was six-over in round one and then shot an 84 (+12) in round two and sits tied for 71st with a two-round score of 160 (+16).
Owen Gauder sits tied for 73rd after 36-holes after an 82 (+10) in round one and a 79 (+7) in the second round while
Ben Fey is tied for 78th after shooting in an 84 and 78 in rounds one and two, respectively.
Ian Wagner is in 84th with a two-round score of 170 (+26).
Niagara Notes
• The Purple Eagles recorded 24 birdies through two rounds, led by a team-best nine from Hernandez which is tied for third most in the field.
• Hebert recorded par on 24 of 36 holes played on Friday.
• Niagara is even on par-5's with a stroke average of 5.00.
