Fort Collins, CO—The WNIT announced the matchups for the first round of the 26th edition of the Postseason WNIT, powered by Triple Crown Sports on Monday afternoon. Niagara women's basketball will host its first ever NCAA Division I Era postseason game as they welcome NEC runner up Le Moyne to the Gallagher Center on Friday, Mar. 22 at 7 PM.
The Purple Eagles are currently 20-13 this season after appearing in their first MAAC Championship since 1997 on Saturday. Niagara earned its second consecutive postseason tournament invite after earning an WNIT invitation in both 2023 and 2024. Niagara currently leads the NCAA in both steals per game and forced turnovers per game. Niagara is 11-3 at the Gallagher Center this season as has already set a program record for wins at the Gallagher Center.
