Edison, N.J.—The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) announced the MAAC All-Academic Team for women's basketball. Niagara landed six student-athletes on the team.
To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale.
Shelby Fiddler (Sport Management), Ary Hicks (Finance), Aaliyah Parker (Sport Management), Angel Parker (Criminal Justice), Lexie Roe (Finance), and Jade Rutledge (Academic Exploration) were all named to the All-Academic Team.
The Purple Eagles finished the regular season with an 18-12 overall record and a 15-5 record in MAAC play as they secured the second seed for the second consecutive season. Niagara will start their MAAC Championship run on Wednesday at 3:30 as they will play the winner of No. 7 Quinnipiac and No. 10 Saint Peter's.
