KENMORE, N.Y.- Niagara women's bowling took on Hilbert College in a head-to-head matchup on Sunday at Classic Lanes in Kenmore. 

Niagara women's bowling started Sunday with a single freshman-only traditional match against Hilbert, followed by a sweep over the Hawks in two baker matches.

Jocelyn Smith led the purple and white with a baker frame average of 23, followed by Kate Ackerman and Paige Herndon at 21.6 and 19.8, respectively.

Traditional Match: Niagara 765 , Hilbert 706

The Purple and White won the single-game traditional match by a total pinfall difference of 56, led by Brynn Grant posting a 168, and Jocelyn Smith posting a 157. Niagara showcased the youth on the team, bowling an all-freshman team in the traditional match. 

Baker Match 1: Niagara 897, Hilbert 700

Niagara won all five games in the first-of-two baker matches, with a high score of 184, followed by 182 twice and 179 respectively, to bring the total pinfall difference to 197 through the five-game set.

Baker Match 2: Niagara 875 , Hilbert 660

Niagara took four of five games in the second baker match, with a high score of 195, followed by 181 and 180 respectively, to bring the total pinfall difference to 215.
