Purple Eagles Sit T12 Following Day One of Red Bandana Invite

VERONA, N.Y. - Sophomore Velton Perry leads the Purple Eagles following day one of Boston College's Red Bandana Invitational at Turning Stone Resort. Niagara sits tied for 12th in a field of 16 teams as a team. 

Perry is tied for 28th after 36 holes with a 154 (+10), shot a 76 in round one, followed by a 78 in round two. His teammate, freshman Ben Hebert, is 13-over after 36-holes, scoring a 76 in round one and 81 in round two for a total score of 157. 

Team captain Ben Fey is tied for 52nd with a two round score of 159 (+15). Fey shot a 79 in round one and an 80 in round two. 

Freshman Carlos Hernandez, the team's top-finisher in Tuesday's Little Three, shot a 77 in round one, followed by an 87 in his second round and is currently tied for 63rd with a 164 (+20). 

Owen Gauder was Niagara's fifth golfer at the event, withdrew following a score of 94 in round one.
