Niagara University, N.Y.—The Niagara women's tennis team picked up their second straight win as they hosted Le Moyne. Niagara defeated the Dolphins 4-3 in the dual match.
Doubles
After winning doubles on Saturday against Daemen, the Purple Eagles were looking for their second straight doubles win.
Coral Rodriguez and Elena Mayet teamed up in first doubles, after falling yesterday the duo looked for their first win together of the season. They took the first doubles match 6-3 and picked up their first win of the season.
Enrica Favaron and Larisa Kotok secured the doubles point for the Purple Eagles as they won the second doubles match 6-4.
Singles
Mayet looked to pick up her second win of the day after the doubles win. She won her opening set 7-6 and then took the second 6-1 to secure the win. She is 2-2 this season in dual matches.
Favaron also looked to pick up her second win of the day as she was slotted in sixth singles. She won the match in dominating fashion as she took the first set 6-0 and the second set 6-1. She had a team best 3-1 record this season.
Le Moyne picked up their points in second singles, fourth singles, and fifth singles.
With the overall match on the line Jaida Borg forced a third set in third singles. Aftering falling 7-5 in the first set she won the second set 7-6 to force the tiebreaker. She took the final set 6-3 to secure the point and the win for the Purple Eagles. Borg is 2-2 this season.

Niagara is back on the court on Oct. 6 as they travel to Cambridge, Mass. to compete in ITA Regionals. The tournament runs from Oct. 6-8.
