NIAGARA UNIVERSITY, NY – The Purple Eagles picked up a pair of 7-0 wins over Rochester Friday afternoon at the Niagara Tennis Courts on the campus of Niagara University.
On the men's side, the Purple Eagles swept doubles and singles action to improve to 11-7 overall. The women also picked up a 7-0 win, sweeping singles action and taking two of the three doubles duals to earn the point.

• Trevor Masi defeated Rochester's Fang in three sets, 3-6, 6-1, 10-5.
• In No. 2 singles, Manuel Alonso picked up a win over Procaccino, 7-6 (3-0), 6-3.
• It took three sets for Tanner Bedard to defeat Rochester's Vennam, 1-6, 6-2, 12-10.
• In No. 4 singles, Jorge Sedeno prevailed in three sets against Rochester's Yuminaga, 4-6, 6-2, 10-4.
• William Gothlin took his No. 5 singles dual against Zhang, 6-0, 6-2.
• Roberto Vaca dispatched Ogawa in No. 6 singles, 6-0, 6-1.
Men's Doubles
• Masi and Bedard defeated Rochester's top pairing of Fang and Lee, 6-1.
• Gothlin and Alonso took their doubles match against Rochester's Procaccino and Vennam, 6-4.
• Villalpando and Vaca dispatched Zhang and Yuminaga, 6-2.
Women's Singles

Elena Mayet took the No. 1 singles dual against Libby, 6-3, 3-6, 10-5.

Coral Rodriguez took the match against Rochester's Vega, 6-3, 7-5.

Megan Gamble picked up her first win of the season with a 6-3, 6-4, victory over Abouzeina.
