YOUNGSTOWN, OHIO - Niagara dropped its first match of the season to Youngstown State, 5-2, Friday evening in Youngstown, Ohio.

Singles
• Niagara's
Trevor Masi remained undefeated in singles action this season with a three-set match win over YSU's Pla, 6-4, 0-6, 1-0 (10-2).

Tanner Bedard also kept his perfect dual match singles record with a victory in No. 3 singles, dispatching his opponent in three-sets, 3-6, 7-6 (7-5), 1-0 (10-1).

Manuel Alonso,
Jorge Sedeno,
Gurustat Makkar, and
Roberto Vaca were all defeated in first, fourth, fifth and sixth singles, respectively.
• Sedeno nearly took the first set of his No. 4 singles contest with Youngstown's Everett, but fell to the Penguin, 7-5 and 6-3 in the second set.
Doubles
• Niagara's Masi and Alonso won the No. 1 singles match against Fouzas and Gran, 6-3.
• The Purple Eagles were defeated in No. 2 and No. 3 doubles, securing the point for YSU.

• All five of Masi's dual match wins have come at No. 2 singles.
• Niagara improved to 5-0 this season from the No. 3 singles slot.
