NU and Rider Play to 2-2 Draw

 Game Recap
 First Half
Nuukele Gboe put Niagara on top early with his second goal of the season, the assist came from Rodrigo Almeida.
• Rider wouldn't trail long as Diene Babacar found the back of the net to even the score at 1-1 in the 12th minute.
• The Purple and White and Broncs would remain deadlocked at one for the remainder of the first half.
• Niagara would take the halfs only shots following the goal, a header from Furkan Yildirim and a shot from Stephen Hasse.
 
 Second Half
•  An early free kick for Niagara nearly set up a chance for the Purple Eagles to take a 2-1 lead but the cross into the box was out of reach for Almeida before going out of play.
Josh Savoni was tested in the 55th minute of play, making his first save of the contest.
• A low cross from Asher Barnes nearly found a teammate in the 18-yard box but the pass was defended well and cleared out of the box by the Rider back line.
• Barnes sent another cross into the box with 28 minutes remaining in the contest but Ali Alomari couldn't connect on the header.
• Niagara would take a one goal lead as Gabriel Mikina would head a corner kick from Hasse home for the Purple Eagles' second tally of the contest.
• Rider would tie it up with a goal in the 79th minute, beating Savoni for the second time on the afternoon.
• Moments later Niagara would have one go off the woodwork, resulting in a goalie change for the Broncs.
 
 Niagara Notes
• The Purple Eagles remain undefeated in league play this season.
• Gboe recorded his second goal of the season while Mikina's tallied tied him for the team lead with five.
• Savoni finished with two saves. 
 
 Up Next
 • Niagara will travel to Iona on Wednesday, Oct. 19 for a midweek tilt with the Gaels, followed by a game against Fairfield at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 22 at Niagara Field.
