LAWRENCE TOWNSHIP, N.J. – Emma Bagnato captured the 400m to highlight the Purple Eagles on the final day at the 2021 MAAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Sunday. The Niagara Purple Eagles concluded their 2021 season with an eighth place finish.
 

TRACK NOTABLES

• 100m finals
  • Jahnyl Donaldson-Howden placed sixth with a time of 12.64.
• 100m hurdles finals
  • Lauren McGrath ran the event in 15.22 to place fourth.
• 200m finals
  • Jahnyl Donaldson-Howden finished eighth (26.64).   
• 400m finals
  • Emma Bagnato won the event with a time of 56.85 to take all 10 points for the Purple Eagles.
• 4x100m relay
  • Niagara picked up four points with a fifth place finish (50.66) by Haleigh Foster, Emily Oliverio, Lauren McGrath, and Amani Scott.
• 4x400m relay
  • The team of Emma Bagnato, Amani Scott, Kate Pratt, and Nora Klinowski placed sixth (4:12.84) for three points.
• 4x800m relay
  • Erin Murray, Nora Klinowski, Annina Marullo, and Grace Kibler finished sixth (10:16.78) to pick up three points.

 

FIELD NOTABLES

• Discus Throw
  • Kiara McDowell placed 15^th (35.28m).
• Shot Put
  • Kiara McDowell's 11.00m tossed earned her 15^th place.
• Triple Jump
  • Julia Rak earned NU three points with a sixth place finish (10.75m).
