WEST WINDSOR, N.J. – The Purple Eagles led after winning the doubles point before falling to the top-seed Quinnipiac Bobcats, 4-1, in the 2021 MAAC Championships Semifinals.  
 
MATCH SUMMARY
Doubles

• The Purple Eagles earned the doubles point by taking two of the three matches.
• In two doubles, Coral Rodriguez and Madigan Humiston broke their opponent serve early for a 2-0 lead. The duo went on to win, 6-3.
• After Quinnipiac won in No. 1 doubles, the doubles point came down to three doubles.
• Kirah Regales and Erikz Gonzalez edged Madison Williams and Andie Williams, 7-5. 

Singles

• Quinnipiac won four singles matches to clinch the match.
• The Bobcats won in two and three singles to take a 2-1 lead.
• Niagara fell in one singles, 6-2, 6-3, and in five singles, 6-2, 7-6(6).

 
PURPLE POINTS

• The team of Coral Rodriguez and Madigan Humiston improved to 4-1 in doubles.
