WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. – The Purple Eagles were unable to hold off the Marist Red Foxes in a 4-3 loss to the Marist Red Foxes on Friday.
 
MATCH SUMMARY
Doubles Singles
  • Jorge Sedeno won in three sets, 3-6, 6-3, 6-0 in two singles to give Niagara a 2-1.
  • Reigning MAAC Player of the Week Manuel Alonso was defeated in three sets, 3-6, 6-3, 6-2.
  • Niagara dropped matches in three, four, and five singles in straight sets.
  • Bruno Goncalves defeated Augusto Bonorino, 7-6(3), 3-6, 1-0 (10-2) in the final match.
 
Purple Points
  • The Purple Eagles won the doubles point versus Marist for the first time since 2014.
  • Eduardo Villalpando and Pere Padro won their third straight doubles match to improve to a team-best 5-2.
  • Jorge Sedeno won his second straight singles match.
