The Niagara men's golf program opens the 2021 season with MAAC foe Manhattan. The dual-match with the Jaspers will take place Saturday and Sunday at Union Vale Golf Course in LaGrangeville, N.Y.

• The Purple Eagles were tabbed ninth in the MAAC preseason coaches' poll, while the Jaspers were selected to finish one spot ahead, in eighth.
• The men's team returns five players from last year's squad and welcome two newcomers.

Match Tidbits
• The lone senior on the team is North Tonawanda, native
Matt Pawlak. Pawlak shot a career-best 76 twice as a freshman, first in a dual-match with Canisius and again against Bucknell.
•
Lincoln Cizek enters his junior season with the Purple and White. As a sophomore, Cizek earned his best finish of the season at the Bucknell Invitational, finishing tied for 16
th.
• Cizek also placed 19
th at the Little Three Championship as a sophomore.
• Fellow junior
Tyler Edholm recorded the best finish of his career at the Matthews Auto Collegiate Invitational as the Tonawanda native placed tied for 15
th.

Ryan Sabo finished second overall at the Little Three Championship as a freshman and also finished ninth at the Metropolitan Intercollegiate with a score of 72.
