NIAGARA UNIV., N.Y. – The Purple Eagles fell to Saint Peter's, 70-55, snapping their 11-game win streak against the Peacocks.

Game Recap
1st Quarter
  • The Purple Eagles went on a 4-0 run to open the game with layups from Ally Haar and Olivia Mason.
  • With a little over eight minutes to go, the Peacocks trailed the Purple Eagles by just two points, 6-4, but a layup from Mason, a jump shot from Valentina Pepic and a free throw from Maddy Yelle gave Niagara a seven-point lead, 11-4.
  • Saint Peter's, however, went on a 14-0 run to take an 18-11 lead over Niagara with 43 seconds left in the quarter.
  • A layup from Sydney Faulcon closed out the quarter and left the Purple Eagles trailing by just five points, 18-13.
2nd Quarter
  • Saint Peter's extended its lead, 23-15, with a little over five and a half minutes to go in the first half.
  • Buckets from Pepic and Angel Parker put the Purple Eagles down by just four points, 23-19, with 4:35 remaining in the quarter.
  • With 2:13 to go, Lore Porter sank a 3-point shot to leave the Purple Eagles trailing by just two points, 28-26.
  • The Peacocks got ahead by four, 30-26, but the Purple Eagles scored four straight points to close out the quarter and the teams went into halftime tied, 30-30.
3rd Quarter
  • The Peacocks went on a 10-2 run in the first three and a half minutes of the third quarter to take a 40-32 lead over NU.
  • Late in the third quarter, five points from Angel Parker left the Purple Eagles trailing by just two points, 45-43.
  • Saint Peter's, however, maintained the lead for the remainder of the quarter and led Niagara narrowly, 49-45, going into the fourth quarter.
4th Quarter
  • Saint Peter's went on a 10-2 run again to open the third quarter, giving the Peacocks a 59-47 lead.
  • With 3:54 to go, Haar sank a triple to bring Niagara within nine points of the lead, 59-50.
  • Haar made another three late in the quarter and Kyra Grimshaw scored a bucket, but it was not enough to overcome Saint Peter's and the Peacocks came away with the 70-55 win.

Eagle's Eye On
  • Parker led the Purple Eagles in scoring with 21 points. She also had a team-high five steals and three steals. Parker brought down six rebounds.
  • Faulcon led the team in rebounding with eight rebounds.
  • Haar added 12 points for NU.
  • Saige Glover grabbed a career-high six rebounds.
