NIAGARA UNIVERSITY, NY – The Niagara men's tennis program picked up its second win of the season with a 4-3 win over visiting Le Moyne Saturday afternoon at the Niagara Tennis Courts.

Singles
•
William Gothlin secured the Purple Eagle win with his 13-11 third set win in No. 3 singles. Gothlin lost the first set before coming back to win the second and third for his first singles win of the season.
•
Matt Andrus, who had to slide into No. 6 singles needed three sets to pick up the win. Andrus won the first and third sets in a hard-fought match with James Howard of Le Moyne.
• In No. 2 singles
Trevor Masi won in straight-sets, 6-4, 6-0.

Manuel Alonso,
Eduardo Villalpando and
Roberto Vaca fell in their singles matches.
Doubles
• Niagara picked up the doubles point with wins in No. 2 and No. 3 doubles.

Jorge Sedeno and Villalpando won No. 3 doubles by a final score of 6-1.
• In No. 2 doubles, Gothlin and Alonso battled for a 7-5 win against the Dolphins duo of Jared and James Howard.

• The Purple Eagles will head to Philadelphia, Pa., for the ITA Regional Championships on Oct. 14-17. The event will be held at the University of Pennsylvania.
