Dallmann Nets Two Goals In Win At Quinnipiac

HAMDEN, Conn. – Niagara (5-7-0, 3-2-0 MAAC) earned a 3-2 come-from-behind victory over the Quinnipiac Bobcats (7-6-0, 2-4-0 MAAC) on Saturday.

Game Recap
  • The Bobcats scored in the sixth minute to take a 1-0 lead over the Purple Eagles.
  • Niagara answered in the 14th minute. Jelldrik Dallmann, assisted by Emmanuel Obiefuna and Stephen Hasse, scored to tie things up, 1-1.
  • The Bobcats reclaimed the lead, 2-1, in the 16th minute.
  • Gabriel Mikina and Jayson Repine both had strong chances for the Purple Eagles towards the end of the first half, but both shots were saved.
  • Rodrigo Almeida had an early opportunity for NU in the second half, sending a shot towards the top of the net, but it was saved by the Bobcats' keeper.
  • Ali Alomari took two shots on goal that were both saved, but his third shot found the back of the net, tying the score, 2-2. He was assisted by Almeida and Dallmann.
  • Dallmann scored the game-winner for the Purple Eagles in the 79th minute.

Eagle's Eye On
  • Dallmann scored two goals and picked up one assist. It was his second straight scoring two goals and he now has a team-best eight goals on the season. He led the Purple Eagles in shots with six and both his shots on goal found their target.
  • Alomari's goal was his first of the season. He took four shots and led the team in shots on goal with three.
  • Josh Savoni (3-4-0) made five saves.

Coach's Corner
  • "I'm really proud of these guys," said head coach Bill Boyle. "They continue to never say never. Quinnipiac had our number the first half, but the guys sorted it out and adapted perfectly."
