Men’s Tennis Splits A Pair

The Niagara men's tennis team went 1-1 in matches this weekend. NU fell to Buffalo, 7-0, on Friday before bouncing back with a 7-0 win over Bloomsburg on Saturday.

Doubles
  • The Bulls clinched the point in with wins in two and three doubles.
  • UB won in three doubles, 6-1, before winning in two doubles, 6-2.
Singles
  • The Bulls won all six singles matches, though the Purple Eagles pushed two matches to extra sets.
  • Josh Wilson lost to Matthew Johnson in three singles despite winning the first set. Wilson won the first set 6-1, but dropped the next two sets, 6-3, 6-2.
  • Eduardo Villalpando won the first set of his match, 7-5, and lost his second set, 6-3. The match went into a super tie break with Villalpando falling 10-5 in six singles.
