NIAGARA UNIV., N.Y. – The Purple Eagles dominated local foe Daemen, 6-1, in their season finale on Monday. Niagara finished the season winning three straight matches.

Match Summary

• The Purple Eagles won in one and two doubles to win the point. Daemen defaulted in three doubles.
• The team of Olga Donchu and Megan Gamble won 6-2 in one doubles.
• The No. 2 team of Shannon Wong and Andreea Peteu blanked their opponent, 6-0.
• Shannon Wong was the first player to win a match in singles, winning 6-0, 6-1 in three singles.
• Olga Donchu played in the one slot and eased to a 6-1, 6-1 victory.
• Andreea Peteu beat Jessica Robins, 6-1, 6-0 in two singles.
• Alexandra Whitney won her match, 6-1, 6-1 in five singles.
• Daemen defaulted in six singles.

• Prior to the match, Niagara honored its lone senior on the team – Shannon Wong.  
   

Purple Points

• Olga Donchu won her team-leading 13^th match in singles and seventh straight. She finished the season 1-0 in one singles and 4-0 in two singles. She is the only Purple Eagle with a winning record.
• Shannon Wong netted her fourth straight win for her seventh win of the season.
• Andreea Peteu won her third straight match.
• The doubles team of Megan Gamble and Olga Donchu improved to 3-0 on the season.
