NIAGARA UNIV., N.Y. – The Niagara women's basketball team dominated Saint Peter's on Monday, defeating the Peacocks 81-57 in its highest scoring game of the season.

Game Recap
  • The Purple Eagles jumped out to an early 7-0 lead, including four points from Jai Moore and a 3-pointer from Maggie McIntyre. Saint Peter's came within two points of Niagara multiple times, but NU held onto the lead and triple from Moore put the Purple Eagles ahead, 19-14, going into the second quarter.
  • Niagara held the Peacocks to only six points in the second quarter. Kharysma Bryant added eight points, including two 3-pointers, in the second quarter, while Moore added seven points and Dagny Davidsdottir had four points. Niagara led the Peacocks comfortably, 40-20, going into halftime.
  • Eight Purple Eagles contributed scoring in the third quarter and Bryant sank her third three of the game, setting a new career-high in 3-pointers made in a single game. Niagara was ahead of Saint Peter's, 63-34, at the end of the quarter.
  • With a little under six minutes remaining in the game, McIntyre hit her third triple of the game, putting the Purple Eagles up 73-48. Valentina Pepic scored six straight points for Niagara and a jumper from Ally Haar closed out scoring for Niagara, icing the Purple Eagles' 81-57 victory over the Peacocks.

  • Moore led the Purple Eagles with 21 points.
  • McIntyre led Niagara with a career-high nine assists. She also added nine points.
  • Bryant led the team in rebounds with nine, tying her career-high, and also added 13 points and a career-high three 3-pointers.
  • Bryant and Adila Gathers led the team in steals with three each.
  • The Purple Eagles scored 30 points off of turnovers and their bench contributed 38 points.
