WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. – The Niagara Purple Eagles fell to the West Virginia Mountaineers, 7-0, on Friday in the second all-time meeting between the programs.

• NU dropped the doubles point after falling in all three matches.
• Niagara lost in one (Andreea Peteu/Chhinda Som) and in two (Shannon Wong/Megan Gamble) doubles by the identical score line of 6-3.
• The Purple Eagles fell in straight sets in each singles set, but a pair of Purple Eagles played closed sets.
• Chhinda Som dropped the first set 7-6(5) in No. 1 singles, while Shannon Wong lost the second set in her match, 7-5.
