JERSEY CITY, N.J. – Four second half goals propelled the Purple Eagles to a 4-1 victory over the Saint Peter's Peacocks on Saturday afternoon.
SYNOPSIS
Two goals in 24 seconds erased a brief one goal deficit; the Purple Eagles added two more goals in the final five minutes on their way to escaping Jaroschak Field with a win. It was one way traffic for most of the game; however, the Peacocks took a surprise lead against the run of the play in the 71
st minute. Niagara responded immediately scoring the game-tying goal 1:09 later and netted the go-ahead goal 24 seconds later. A pair of Purple Eagles scored their first goals of the season in the final five minutes.
