The Niagara men's soccer team will honor its outgoing class of seniors prior to a pivotal game against league-leading Saint Peter's tomorrow night. Mick Keilen, Jacob Myer, Mackenzie Roach, Absalom Solorio-Villalpando, and Josh Tufino will be the subjects of the pregame ceremony to recognize and appreciate their accomplishments as Purple Eagles.

Niagara Notes
  • Niagara slipped into fifth in the conference following a 3-2 loss at Iona on Wednesday. Despite being down to 10 players, the Purple Eagles tied the game up with five minutes remaining in regulation before the Gaels won on a last-second penalty kick.
  • Rodrigo Almeida netted the equalizer in the loss to record his sixth goal of the season. Almeida is the first Purple Eagle to score six times in a season since Alex Dimitriu did so in 2016.
  • Josh Savoni's .787 save percentage continues to lead the MAAC. Savoni also ranks second in the conference with 5.33 saves per game. Nick Burke sits two spots behind Savoni in that category, with 5.00.

Across The Pitch: Saint Peter's Peacocks
  • Saint Peter's sits five points clear of second place in the MAAC standings. The Peacocks are seeking their first regular season MAAC crown since 2010.
  • After an overtime loss to Quinnipiac to open conference play, the Peacocks have won six straight contests entering this weekend. Their most recent win was a 3-2 overtime victory at Marist on Wednesday night.
  • The Peacocks are 5-5 away from home this season.
  • Dominic Laws leads the MAAC in several offensive categories, including goals (10), points (26), and shots per game (4.64).
  • Other Peacocks in the top 10 of various statistical categories include Jordan Jowers (t-8 – 14 points), Tom Coulson (t-7 – 5 goals), and Jamie Davis (t-2 – 6 assists).
