Niagara Notes
- Niagara took three points in its last outing when it defeated Rider, 2-1, in overtime on October 19. Absalom Solorio-Villalpando accounted for both goals, first a spectacular, curling Olimpico in the 49th minute. The second came in the 93rd minute on a penalty kick to take down the Broncs.
- Solorio-Villalpando's brace marked the first multi-goal game of his career. He now has three goals on the season, second-most on the Niagara roster.
- Niagara is trying to earn its first postseason berth since 2012, when the team went 6-1-1 in conference play and won the MAAC Championship.
- The Purple Eagles last appeared in the MAAC tournament in 2015. That year's tournament was held in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, and all had all 11 MAAC teams participate.
- Josh Savoni's .808 save percentage leads the MAAC. Savoni also ranks second in the conference with 5.25 saves per game. Nick Burke sits two spots behind Savoni in that category, with 5.00.
Across The Pitch: Iona Gaels
- Iona has won seven of its last nine games, but is coming off a 3-1 loss to Saint Peter's on Saturday.
- Mauro Bravo's 16 points (6 G, 4 A) lead the Gaels. His goals total is tied with Lenworth Lopez for the team lead.
- Goalkeeping duties have been split between Giuliano Santucci and Gabriel Cinanni. Santucci has more appearances (7) and a lower goals-against average (1.11) but both players have recorded four wins apiece.
