ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – The Niagara men's tennis team dropped its spring opener to the Binghamton Bearcats on Sunday

Match Summary

• The Purple Eagles were edged in doubles to start the match.
• Niagara won the first doubles pairing with Brent Boleslav and Bruno Goncalves defeating Inigo Saez and Alejandro Pena, 6-3, in No. 3 doubles.
• After falling in two doubles, the deciding point came down to No. 1 doubles. The top team of Darrel Harxhi and Eduardo Villalpando lost 6-4.
• The Bearcats won in two, four, and three singles to clinch the match.
