NIAGARA UNIV., N.Y. – The Niagara women's tennis team opened its home schedule with a defeat to Carnegie Mellon on Saturday.
 
Match Summary

• Newcomer Olga Donchu provided Niagara's only win in the dual match. Donchu defeated Janabelle Wu, 6-1, 3-6, 6-3, in three singles.
• Megan Gamble, another newcomer, lost a close three-set match, 3-6, 6-3, 6-2, in six singles.  
• Prior to singles, Carnegie Mellon won all three doubles matches.

 
Purple Points

• Olga Donchu improved to 2-1 in singles on the season. She joins Megan Gamble and Chhinda Som with two wins through two competitions.
