  • The Purple Eagles earned a 68-65 victory over Monmouth on Senior Day on Sunday, Feb. 18.
  • Victoria Rampado led the Purple Eagles with 27 points and 10 rebounds to record her 13th double-double of the season.
  • Maggie McIntyre added 11 points for the Purple Eagles and Kaylee Stroemple had 10 points.
  • Jamie Sherburne and McIntyre led the team in assists with five each.
 
Niagara In The MAAC
  • Niagara leads the MAAC in free throw percentage (76.1%), is second in field goal percentage (40.9%) and is the third-highest scoring offense (65.9 points per game). The Purple Eagles are third in the MAAC in steals with 8.5 steals per game and in assists (14.5 assists per game) and are fourth in 3-point field goal percentage (31.8%).
  • Victoria Rampado leads the league in scoring with 21.0 points per game and is second in rebounding with 9.8 rebounds per game.
  • Jamie Sherburne is third in the MAAC in assists, averaging 4.3 assists per game. She is also third in the conference in free throw percentage (81.9%).
  • Maggie McIntyre is second in the MAAC in 3-point field goal percentage (41.9%).
 
Record Breaking
  • Victoria Rampado broke the Niagara women's basketball all-time scoring record against Monmouth on Feb. 18, 2018. Rampado scored 27 points to bring her career points total to 1,756, surpassing Eva Cunningham's record of 1,753 career points.
 
Fifth Time's A Charm
  • Victoria Rampado was named MAAC Player of the Week for the fifth time this season on Feb. 19 after a stellar week against Rider and Monmouth. 
  • Rampado recorded her 12th double-double of the season with 26 points and 13 rebounds against Rider and her 13th double-double of the season with 27 points and 10 rebounds against Monmouth.
  • Rampado was also named MAAC Player of the Week on Nov. 27, Dec. 26, Jan. 8 and Feb. 5.
 
On The Court
Canisius Golden Griffins (9-18, 7-9 MAAC)
  • Forward Sara Hinriksdottir leads the Griffs in scoring and rebounding, averaging 14.5 points per game and 5.6 rebounds per game. She is ninth in the MAAC in scoring and 16th in rebounding. She has the eighth-best free throw percentage in the conference (77.0%).
  • Guard Anna Sweny is eight in the MAAC in steals, averaging 1.8 steals per game and Maria Welch is seventh in the MAAC in 3-point field goals made, averaging 1.7 3-pointers per game.
  • Overall, the Griffs are third in defensive rebounds (26.1 per game), fifth in 3-point field goals made (5.7 per game), sixth in assists (12.9 assists per game) and seventh in blocked shots (2.9 blocks per game).
