CORNING, N.Y. – The Niagara women's golf team was defeated by the St. Francis (Pa.) Red Flash, 321-344, at the Corning Country Club on Sunday.
Emily Dolye led the Purple Eagles by carding an 81 which was the third lowest score in the duel.
Selena Cerra was second on the team with an 85.
Samantha Bernardo and
Britteny Purcell each shot an 89.
"It was a good experience weekend," head coach
Steve Latimer stated. "The team certainly was challenged by the championship conditions and greens at Corning Country Club today. We have identified some areas where we need to work on for improvement."
The Purple Eagles are back on the course in the Roseann Schwartz Invitational at the Avalon Lakes Golf Course in Warren, Ohio from Oct. 4-5.
