Live VideoThe Niagara men's soccer team wraps up its four-game road trip with matches against New Jersey Institute of Technology on Friday, Sept. 11 at 7 p.m. and Saint Francis University (Pa.) on Sunday, Sept. 13 at 4 p.m.
Last Time Out - Last weekend, Niagara dropped both of its road games against two Big Ten opponents.
- On Sept. 4, the Purple Eagles fell to No. 22 Michigan State, 4-0.
- Freshman goalkeeper Colin Hanley made his collegiate debut for NU, allowing a pair of MSU goals in each half. Ryan Myers recorded the lone shot on goal for Niagara.
- On Sept. 6, Niagara was edged by the Michigan Wolverines in double overtime, 2-1.
- Freshman forward Alex Dimitriu opened the scoring with his first goal as a Purple Eagle in the 23rd minute.
- Michigan registered the game-winner just over a minute into the second overtime period on a header off a free kick.
- Sophomore goalkeeper Joel Gerberich made a season-high five saves in the match.
Across the Pitch: NJIT Highlanders (1-2-0) - This will be the first-ever meeting between the two programs.
- Friday's match will be the Highlanders' home opener.
- NJIT dropped its first two contests against St. Bonaventure and Canisius, but is coming off its first win of the season on Sept. 5 against Marist, 2-0.
Across the Pitch: Saint Francis Red Flash (0-1-2)- Niagara is 2-1-1 all-time against Saint Francis.
- The teams last met on Sept. 22, 2013. NU was blanked in the matchup, 2-0.
- Sunday's match will be the Red Flash's home opener.
- Prior to hosting Niagara on Sunday, Saint Francis will travel to Bucknell on Friday, Sept. 11 at 7 p.m.
