ATHENS, Ohio – NU softball dropped the final game of the two-game series with the Ohio Bobcats, 5-1, on Sunday.

Taylor Grieger started in the circle allowing ten hits and five runs over six complete innings of work.
Ohio University (7-18) backed by freshman Mikayla Cooper who pitched six innings allowing three hits, one unearned run, and striking out four Purple Eagle batters before being relieved in the seventh by sophomore Leanna Bachman. Junior Amanda Dalton went 2-for-3, scoring a run and driving one in for the Bobcats, who scored three runs in the first two innings before adding one run in the fourth and fifth inning.
Niagara will head to Cleveland, Ohio on Wednesday, March 25 to play a doubleheader against Cleveland State beginning at 3 p.m.
