CLEVELAND – The Niagara Purple Eagles concluded play at the Cleveland State Dome Tournament on Saturday with setbacks to Robert Morris and Bowling Green.
Robert Morris 3, Niagara 1NU's seventh inning two-out rally came up short as the Purple Eagles fell 3-1 to the Robert Morris Colonials. RMU built a 3-0 lead by scoring one run in the first, second and fifth innings.

Danielle Stockman. The rally was cut short when Maldonado struck out swinging to end the game.

Sydney Smyers went the distance for the Purple Eagles, striking three while allowing seven hits and two earned runs.
Bowling Green 9, Niagara 1Two big scoring innings by the Falcons were enough to pull away for the 9-1 win as NU wrapped up play at the tournament.
NU, which trailed 2-0 after one inning, scored its lone run in the second.
Sarah March led off the inning with a walk, followed by a
Brianna Clark's double to left centerfield. Two batters later, Taylor Moddy grounded out to second, but drove home March from third.
The score remained 2-1 until Bowling Green pushed across three runs in the fifth inning for a 5-1 lead. The Falcons tact on four more runs in the top of the seventh inning as the Niagara offense was limited to five hits in the game.
Niagara will next participate in the Elon Tournament in Elon, N.C. from Feb. 28-March 1 where it will face Central Connecticut State , Brown, Louisiana-Lafayette and Elon.
