Men's Soccer Looks to Rebound Against Quinnipiac

The Purple Eagles men's soccer team (1-8-1, 0-2-0 MAAC) opens its home MAAC schedule with a match against the Quinnipiac Bobcats on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. Both teams will be eager to get their first conference points of the season.

Last Time Out
  • Niagara was blanked on the road, losing 2-0 to the Siena Saints.
  • Goalkeeper Colin Hanley got the start for the Purps and recorded eight saves.
  • Sergio Lujan and Alex Dimitriu had NU's only shots on target.
  • Niagara held the Saints scoreless for 77 minutes before conceding twice in the last 12 minutes.

  • The Bobcats currently own the all-time series record, 4-0-0.
  • Quinnipiac took the result the last time these teams played, winning 2-0 at home.
  • Quinnipiac's head coach, Eric Da Costa, is the reigning MAAC Coach of the Year.
  • Though the Bobcats were projected to finish second in the MAAC preseason poll, they are still searching for their first victory of the season.
  • Junior goalkeeper Triston Henry has played every minute of all eight games and ranks second in the MAAC with an average of 4.62 saves per game.
