Men's Golf Lands In Seventh At Leo Keenan Invitational

Final Round Results

OLEAN, N.Y. – Freshman Dam Weimer led the Niagara men's golf team as the Purple Eagles finished the 25th Leo Keenan Invitational in seventh place on Tuesday.
 
Weimer scored a 74 in the first round and a 76 on Tuesday to finish with a 150 (+10) overall, which was good for a share of 16th place.  Jacob Felicetti's 76 on Tuesday was two strokes less than his showing on Monday.  He finished with a 154 (+14) and tied for 24th.  Jackson Lizardo came in with a 162 (+22) for the tournament.  Brendan Fiore finished one stroke back from his sophomore teammate with a 163 (+23) and William Lumadue carded a 172 (+32).
 
"Danny is playing well for a freshman," head coach Jeff Mietus said.  "I expect him to play better as we go along.  I am also excited to see this team get better as we move forward."
 
As a team NU finished in seventh place with a 629 (+69) team score.  St. Bonaventure, who hosted the tournament, finished tied for second with a 589 (+29) and Robert Morris won the event with a 578 (+18). 
 
The men's golf team is back on the course this Sunday in Bradford, Pa for the Little Three Tournament at the Pine Acres Country Club.
