Men's Golf Wraps Up Weather-Shortened Opening Tournament

PHILADELPHIA – The Purple Eagles completed the lone round of the LaSalle Invitational and finished in 11th place on Sunday afternoon.
 
The tournament was scheduled to have a final round to be played on Monday but was cut to just 18 holes because of inclement weather forecasted for Monday.
 
Both Michael Jiggins and Zach Clark improved their scores on the back nine to sneak into the top 50.  Jiggins led off with a 49 but finished strong with a 37 to take an 86 into the clubhouse and tie for 46th.  Clark opened with a 46 but added a 42 on the back side to tie for 50th with an 88 overall.  The team scores were rounded out by Jacob Felicetti’s 93, Anthony DiBacco’s 93, and Kenneth Hand’s 95.
 
Brendan Fiore, who trimmed seven strokes off of his score from the front nine to the back nine, competed individually and scored a 101.
 
The team is back on the course in a couple of weeks when it plays in the LaFayette College Spring Inviational in Easton, Pa on April 8-9.
