The Niagara Purple Eagles will look to even up their record on Friday evening in their tilt against the Bowling Green State University Falcons at 6:00 p.m. in the Stroh Center.

Niagara (0-1) heads into Friday looking to build upon its performance last week in which it was able to put 73 points on the board while shooting just 32.5 percent.  Meghan McGuinness led the way with a career-high 25 points after hitting 7-of-12 shots (58.3 percent) from three-point range and contributed a game-high five assists.  Donisha Watson was a force down low, pulling in a game-high nine rebounds and added a pair of steals and a block.  Freshman Victoria Rampado scored 15 points and went a perfect 5-for-5 from the free throw line.

As a team the Purple Eagles shot 13-for-15 (86.7 percent) from the charity stripe, a success rate they will need to carry over into this weekend's action.  These two teams met for the first time in program history last season and combined for 61 free throws, however, the Falcons were sent to the line 37 times and made 29 shots, five more than the Purple Eagles attempted (24).  Of the 24 attempts, NU hit 17 for a 70.8 percent outing.

McGuinness tallied 13 points in last season's contest and Val McQuade went 4-for-4 from the free-throw line.  Both teams return two starters from their previous meeting, with the Purple Eagles returning seven total players that saw time on the court while the Falcons return just four.

Bowling Green opened the season with a pair of wins at the Iona TipOff Tournament.  They opened with a 63-52 over Michigan before a narrow 51-50 win against Iona.  Guard Jillian Halfhill led the team with a combined 28 points for the tournament.  She went 9-for-19 (47.4 percent) from the field.  Center Jill Stein led the team's rebounding effort with 20 rebounds and added four steals.

A New Tradition?
•  These two teams have met only once before, last season, in a game that was played on November 15, 2012.
•  This year, the two teams will again meet on 11/15, as is tradition.
•  The Purple Eagles outscored the Falcons in the paint 34-20 in their last meeting.

 How To Tune In
•    Purple Eagle fans can follow all of Friday's action via PurpleEagles.com.  Live stats will be provided as will links to a free audio feed and a subscription-based video feed (both provided through Bowling Green).

Against the Falcons (Bowling Green Leads 1-0)
•  Friday's game will be the second meeting in the history of either program.  The first meeting came last season in NU's third game of the year.  This will be the first game played between these two teams in Bowling Green.

Against the MAC
•  Niagara has played seven of the 13 teams that make up the modern day MAC with cross town rival Buffalo accounting for 32 of those matchups. Four teams (BGSU, Ohio, Eastern Michigan, Akron and Buffalo) have played NU since 2010.

McGuinness' Records
•    Junior Meghan McGuinness broke several career-highs in the season opening matchup against Lehigh.
•  She scored 25 points, three points better than the 22 she scored last season against St. Peter's (2/2/12).
•  Her seven three-point field goals was one better than the six she hit against Manhattan (2/24/13).  She went 1-for-2 from inside the arc, giving her eight total field goals, also a record.
•  McGuinness not only broke personal records scoring points, she also dished out five assists, topping her four-assist outing last season against Kent State (12/2/11).
•  The junior almost broke a fifth career-record, her seven rebounds were two away from her career-high and a third would have earned her fist double-double.

More Records, Because, Why Not?
•  Taylor McKay also set new career-highs against Lehigh with points in a game against Lehigh (10) and in minute played (22).
•  McKay's former career-best in minutes played was last season's matchup against BGSU when she saw 14 minutes on the court.
