APALACHIN, N.Y. – Jackson Lizardo paced the Purple Eagles men's golf team through the first round of the Binghamton Fall Invitational on Saturday at The Links At Hiawatha Landing.
 
The sophomore from Fairfax, Va. shot a 76 (+4) which, while tied him for 33^rd place, was just five strokes out of a share of 7^th.  Jacob Felicetti was three shots behind with a 79 (+7).  William Lumadue and Dan Weimer finished a stroke apart with an 80 (+8) and an 81 (+9), respectively.  Brendan Fiore rounded out the NU scoring with an 85 (+13).
 
As a team the Purple Eagles finished with a 316 for a 13^th place finish.  They head into the second round just two strokes out of a tie for 11^th and five strokes away from 10^th.
 
Tomorrow final round at The Links At Hiawatha Landing will begin with a shotgun start at 8:30 am.
