LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. – The Purple Eagles women's golf team placed one golfer in the top-10 on their way to a fifth place finish at the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championships on Sunday afternoon at Disney’s Magnolia Golf Course.
April Nimjareansuk turned in her lowest single-round score of the tournament with a 79 in the final round to finish in ninth place, three strokes away from a tie for fifth place.
“With her existing tools, April can be a dominant player,” head coach
Steve Latimer said. “She showed what she is capable of in this year’s tournament.”
Brittany Siechen finished in 16th place for the tournament with a third round score of 87.
Natalie Wisiewski finished with an 88,
Jen Ringler turned in a 91 and
Sierra Billhimer had a 103.
As a team, Niagara posted a final team score of 1024, good for fifth place. Siena stayed on top with a team score of 939.
