Wrapping Up The 2012 Home Schedule
The Niagara Purple Eagles are back home from the road for their final home game of 2012 with a match-up against the Colgate Raiders Sunday night. Niagara (4-4) will look to continue its recent success against Colgate (4-5). NU is 2-0 under head coach

NU has won three of its last four games. In the team’s last three wins it has shot 46.7 percent from the floor and 70.5 percent from the free-throw line. It will be easier said than done, however, the Raiders have only allowed its opponents to shoot 34.5 percent from the floor over their last two games and 39.1 percent for the season.
Niagara enters the game with Lauren Gatto leading the way in both points per game (12.5 ppg) and rebounds (6.0 rpg).

Last Time Out...
The Niagara Purple Eagles came out on top in a Monday night nail-biter 63-57 over the Binghamton Bearcats in the Events Center.
The Purple Eagles (4-4) had the lead throughout most of the game but the Bearcats (1-9) were able to climb back within a single possession, 52-50, with just over two minutes left in regulation. Bingahmton was forced to foul and Niagara hit 9-of-12 chances from the free throw line during the final two minutes to come out with a 63-57 victory to get back to .500 on the season.
On The Court: Colgate Raiders (4-5, 0-0 Patriot League)
The Raiders enter Sunday as winners of their last two games having defeated Columbia 67-48 and St. Francis (Pa.) 67-62. They split the first four games of the year before dropping three in a row against Drexel, 51-33, Connecticut, 101-41, and Sacred Heart, 59-53.
They are led by guard Missy Repoli’s 11.1 ppg and Josie Stockill is averaging a team-high 6.1 rpg coming off of the bench.
Against the Red Raiders (Niagara leads 24-12)
Niagara and Colgate faced each other last season, with
Kayla Stroman hitting a last-second shot to give the Purple Eagles the 61-60 win.
It’s Good To Be Home
This is Niagara’s only home game during a stretch that has them play 4-of-5 on the road. They split the first two road games against Lehigh and Binghamton. Niagara ends the stretch with games against Buffalo and Michigan.
Another Year In Gally Come And Gone
Sunday is Niagara’s final game of 2012 in the Gallagher Center. The team is 6-4 in calendar ending home-games over the last 10 seasons. They are 22-14 all-time.

After going 1-3 through their first four games of the year, the Purple Eagles have turned things around to go 3-1 in the last four.
Off To A Good Start
Sitting at .500 (4-4) through the first eight games this season, Niagara is enjoying its best eight-game start since it went 6-2 in 2006-07.
