BREWSTER, Mass. – The men’s golf team completed its final event of the fall season as the team finished the weather-shortened New England Intercollegiate Golf Association Championship in 23rd place out of the 35-team field.
The Purple Eagles, who had over two weeks between the NEIGA Championship and their last event, were led once again by
Michael Jiggins. The senior shot an 80 (+8) in the single-round event and found himself in a tie for 40th place.
Jacob Felicetti was not far behind; he finished with an 81 (+9) and finished tied for 51st.
William Lumadue shot an 85 (+13) for Niagara while
Jackson Lizardo shot a 92 (+20).
Anthony DiBacco rounded out the scoring for Niagara with a 96 (+24).
The tournament was scheduled to last for three rounds over two days, but was cut to a single round due to adverse weather conditions caused by Hurricane Sandy.
With the fall season coming to a close, the team won't be back on the course until the spring season..
