The Niagara men’s soccer team looks to extend several streaks this Friday when it travels cross-town to take on Big Four rival Buffalo at 5 p.m.
The Purple Eagles’ recent success has them on a six-match unbeaten run, a three-match winning streak, and a 303-minute shutout streak.
Senior forward
Carl Haworth, freshman forward
Callum Willmott, and junior goalkeeper
Brett Petricek will look to continue their individual success from last weekend. Haworth recorded six points (two goals and two assists) against Green Bay and Eastern Illinois at the Green Bay Classic while Willmott scored a pair of goals as Niagara won both matches 2-0. Petricek made eight saves to record two shutouts.
Their performances in the Green Bay Classic earned Niagara a sweep of the MAAC Player of the Week awards.
Buffalo is looking to snap a four-match losing streak, during which it has scored only three goals.
Following this Big Four matchup, Niagara opens conference play with a home contest against Marist on Friday, Sept. 30 at 7 p.m.
