Coming Home
The Purple Eagles come home after spliting a pair of games on the road to host the Binghamton Bearcats for the first time in three years.  The last time these two teams met, the Purple Eagles were able to come back from a double digit deficit in the second half to win the game 57-52.

Niagara’s strength this season has been its ability to hit free throws.  Making 75.2% of its chances from the line, the Purple Eagles rank third in the MAAC and 25th in the NCAA.  Binghamton’s strength this season, however, has been its discipline, taking only 13.4 personal fouls a game (which has them ranked 21st in the NCAA).

Niagara will look to take advantage of the pit-stop at Gallagher.  After Saturday it heads back on the road for five games that span over four weeks.  It will be its longest road trip since the six-game road trip in the 2005-06 season.

How To Tune In
Saturday’s game will be broadcast live on PurpleEagles All-Access. Fans can see all of the action, called by Dave Universal.

Last Time Out...
Niagara dropped a tough game to the Albany Great Danes.  The Purple Eagles found themselves down 18-2 12 minutes into the opening half but would go on a 16-7 run to cut the deficit to seven by halftime.  Niagara would put a 9-3 run together in the second half to keep the game close but Albany was inevitably able to pull away down the stretch.

On The Court
Binghamton Bearcats (5-3)
Binghamton won its first two games of the year against Mount St. Mary’s and Siena.  Since then it has gone 3-3 with its losses coming against Minnesota, Syracuse, and St. Bonaventure.

Against the Bearcats (Series tied 1-1)
Niagara hasn’t played the Bearcats in two years.  In their last meeting, Niagara traveled to Vestal, NY and successfully erased a 15-point second half deficit to take the game 57-52.  The Purple Eagles took the lead, 53-51, with 2:58 remaining in the game and never gave it up.  Niagara was led by, then-freshman, Kayla Stroman who had 14 points and six rebounds.

300...
In the last game against Albany, Meghan Waterman recorded her 300th career rebound, which leads all current Purple Eagles.  Waterman has 20 rebounds on the year, 15 of which have come defensively.

Road Warriors...
Saturday’s game against Binghamton is the only home game for Niagara in the month of December.  In all, the Purple Eagles play seven-of-eight games between the beginning of Dec. and Jan. 7 on the road.
