Let The Games Begin
After opening the 2011-12 season with a loss at home followed by a week off, Niagara hits the road for threee games in three days in Rock Hill, S.C.. 

The Purple Eagles will look for Jess FlammKayla Stroman, and Lauren Gatto to build on their perfomances versus Buffalo.  Flamm led the team in points (12), Stroman scored 10 points in her return to the court after a medical redshirt last season, and Gatto tied the game-high in rebounds (10) in her first NCAA action in a year.

Last Time Out...
The Purple Eagles were downed by the Buffalo Bulls 65-54.  Niagara held Buffalo to 51 shots and a 47% shooting percentage.  Niagara, however, only shot 28% from the floor but did manage to hit 13-16 free throws.  

We’ve Met Before...
In the only meeting between Niagara and Stetson, the Hatters topped the Purple Eagles by a score of 63-60 back on Dec 11, 1999.

On The Court...
Stetson Hatters (1-1)   
Stetson is coming off a season that saw them go 20-13, including a perfect 3-0 in neutral site, non-conference games.  This season, the Hatters opened up with an 11-point win over Palm Beach Atlantic followed by a loss to Florida by a score of 71-57.

Winthrop Eagles (1-0)
Last season the Eagles went 13-18 with six of their wins coming at home.  This year the Eagles opened up their season with a 14-point win over Troy on the road.  

Bradley Braves (2-0)
The Braves are coming off a 15-16 season.  Over half of their wins came in non-conference games (8) and they were 2-2 in games played at a neutral site.  Bradley entersthe tournament a perfect 3-0.

Learning on the Fly...
Two of Niagara’s four freshman saw significant playing time against Buffalo.  Both Meghan McGuinness and Val McQuade saw 18 minutes of playing time in the first NCAA game of their careers.
