LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. - The men's golf team is in fourth place after day one of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championships held at Disney's Magnolia Golf Course in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. Senior Chris Hart (Ithaca, N.Y.) carded a one-over 73 on Friday, landing him in fifth place.
The Purple Eagles four-man total of 306 is 10 strokes behind Siena, whose day-one total of 296 leads the way. Rider and Loyola are second and third, with scores of 299 and 300, respectively.
Hart's 73 was his best round of the spring, and places him in sole possession of fifth place, just five strokes behind day-one's leader. Loyola's Will Shriver recorded a four-under 68, two strokes ahead of Rider's Tyler Brewington.
Junior Mike Jarvis (Lancaster, N.Y.) carded a 77, while Sophomores Don Bryson (Brantford, Ont.) and Chris Singleton (Niagara Falls, Ont.) turned in identical scores of 78.
Day two of the three-day event gets underway Saturday morning.
