HAMILTON, N.Y. – Junior Mike Jarvis (Lancaster, N.Y./St. Francis) recorded his second consecutive top-10 finish this season when he placed tied for seventh Sunday at the Colgate Golf Invitational at Seven Oaks Golf Course.
Jarvis shot a two-over par 74 Sunday to finish with a two-day total of 149 which was six back of medalist Dan McCarthy of LeMoyne.
Niagara finished in 11th in the 15-team field. The Purple Eagles shot a two-day total of 622. Bucknell won the event, firing a 593 on the par-72 course.
Senior Chris Hart (Ithaca, N.Y.) finished tied for 20th after shooting par Sunday for a 152 total. Freshman Jason Polka (Lewiston, N.Y./Lewiston-Porter) had a 161 (78-83), sophomore Chris Singleton (Niagara Falls, N.Y.) a 163 (85-78) and rookie Joe Tonnos (St. Catharines, Ont.) a 165 (84-81).
Niagara returns to action Sept. 23-25 when it plays in the Leo Keenan Invitational in Olean.
