NIAGARA UNIVERSITY, N.Y. – In its first outing of the season, the Niagara University golf team finished sixth at the Colgate Invitational at the Seven Oaks Golf Course in Hamilton, N.Y.
The Purple Eagles shot a 615 (308-307) to finish behind Lehigh (602), which won the event, St. Francis (Pa.) (604), Bucknell (605), Cornell (608), and Colgate (613).
Senior Chris Agostinelli (Rochester, N.Y.) shot a two-over par 74 Sunday to finish with a 150 and in 10th place. Sophomore Mike Jarvis (Athol Springs, N.Y./St. Francis) was four over par with a 76 and 11 over for the invitational.
Senior Andrew Burke (Rochester, N.Y.) and junior Dan Misko (Grand Island, N.Y./St. Joseph’s) both placed 32nd with two-round totals of 156. Junior Chris Hart (Ithaca, N.Y.) finished 41st (80-78=158)
Niagara returns to action Sept. 20 when it participates in the Little Three Meet at the River Oaks Country Club.
