Men’s Basketball To Host Robert Morris In Exhibition For Hurricane Relief Efforts

NIAGARA UNIV., N.Y. – Committed to the Vincentian values of Niagara University, the men's basketball team will host an exhibition against Robert Morris University on Friday, Oct. 27 at 7 p.m. with all net proceeds benefiting hurricane relief efforts.

"We're happy that we can help those in need through the sport of basketball with the net proceeds from the game to be donated to help hurricane victims," Niagara head coach Chris Casey said. "Our thoughts and prayers go to all those affected."

"This is a great opportunity to be involved in a game that goes beyond college basketball," Robert Morris head coach Andrew Toole said. "What has happened with the devastating hurricanes this year is a reminder to cherish what's important, and that's the family and friends you surround yourself with each day. Our game with Niagara is a fantastic way to help play a part in helping those who are in the most need."

The Niagara Athletic ticket office will be accepting donations at the game and over the phone. All proceeds will be donated to United Way Greater Niagara, who will then distribute to their agencies in the affected regions of Florida, Texas, and Puerto Rico.
