OLEAN, N.Y. – The Purple Eagles men's & women's swimming & diving teams won six events during Saturday's final dual meet of the regular season at St. Bonaventure. Niagara picked up four first-place finishes on the men's side, including a sweep of the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events by
JaRon Williams. The Niagara women earned a 200 free relay victory, and
Kristen Suarez earned a share of first place, tying the Bonnies' Sam Kuchinski at 25.25 in the 50 free.

In total scores, the Niagara men were defeated by St. Bonaventure 157.5 to 75.5, while the women lost by a score of 149 to 92.

Meet Recap: Men's Team
- JaRon Williams earned a sweep of the diving events as Niagara's lone double-winner at St. Bonaventure. Williams scored a 279.98 on the 1-meter board and a 249.00 on the 3-meter board.
- Nicolas Winograd won the 200 IM with a season-best time of 1:57.08. His previous best was 1:57.17, set at December's Zippy Invitational in Akron. Andreas Rintel placed third in the 200 IM at 1:58.56.
- Shawn Warner took first in the 200 free at 1:42.25, and he also earned second in the 200 fly with a time of 1:54.97.
- Daniel Ronen earned a pair of second-place finishes in the distance events, swimming a 4:53.97 in the 500 free and a 10:11.93 in the 1000 free. Alexander Pizzo placed third in the 1000 free with a time of 10:34.33.
- The Niagara men also picked up a second-place finish in the 200 free relay. Robert Brown, Andrew Wilson, Warner, and James Crumm swam a time of 1:26.99.

Meet Recap: Women's Team
- The 200 free relay team of Sydney Kligys, Lauren Nicastro, Julia Casolo, and Annie Eckhardt gave Niagara a first-place finish with a time of 1:41.31.
- In the 200 medley relay, Nicastro, Bridgette Ehrmann, Casolo, and Kristen Suarez took second in 1:54.36.
- Suarez tied St. Bonaventure's Sam Kuchinski to pick up a share of a 50 free victory at 25.25.
- Casolo and Hannah Charlton finished 2-3 in the 200 fly. Casolo swam a 2:16.16, followed by Charlton at 2:17.92.
- Charlton also earned a third-place finish in the 200 IM with a time of 2:20.50.
- Montanna Valler (5:55.62 in the 500 free) and Nastassja Posso (1:59.97 in the 200 free) also earned second-place finishes for the Purple Eagles.

MAAC Championships
- Up next for the Purple Eagles is the four-day MAAC Championships, set to take place Feb. 8-11 at the Burt Flickinger Center in downtown Buffalo, N.Y. Niagara University will again co-host the event along with Canisius College.
