In their first dual meet since early December at the Zippy Invite, the Purple Eagles men's and women's swimming and diving teams face off against the University at Buffalo Bulls at the Alumni Natatorium. The dual meet between the Purple Eagles and Bulls is scheduled to start at 11 a.m. Niagara is coming off a strong finish at the Zippy Invite in Akron, Ohio, where personal and season bests were reached by many members of the team.

The Niagara divers will also be participating in the University at Buffalo Diving Invitational this weekend, starting on Friday, Jan. 13. On the women's side,
Haily Atkins and
Cara Mergner will both participate in the women's 1-meter and 3-meter diving events, while
Santana Sawma will take part in the 1-meter event. For the men,
JaRon Williams and
Khallid Lewis are slated to participate in the men's 1-meter and 3-meter events.

Men's Results: Zippy Invite

Day 1:
- Andreas Rintel won the 'C' Final of the 200 IM with a time of 1:53.67.
- Shawn Warner took sixth place in the men's 200 IM, swimming a 1:51.65, a season-best time.
- In the 500 free final, Daniel Leskowicz led Niagara with a time of 4:44.95, followed by Daniel Ronen at 4:45.79, the two fastest times by a Purple Eagle this season.
Day 2:
- Rintel swam his fastest time of the season in the 400 IM, finishing with a time of 4:15.28.
- Warner led the Purple Eagles in the men's 100 butterfly with a season-best time of 50.01.
- James Crumm led Niagara with an 18th-place finish with a time of 1:43.69, his best of the season.
- In the finals of the men's 100 breaststroke, Andreas Rintel (58.82) and Nicolas Winograd (59.11) both swam the fastest times this season by a Purple Eagle in that event.
- Matthew Ricks beat his previous season-best time in the 100 backstroke by three seconds, swimming a 54.22.
Day 3:
- Shawn Warner led the Purple Eagles in the 1650 free with a time of 16:24.14, followed by Daniel Ronen at 16:42.57.
- Warner (46.23) and James Crumm (47.08) set season-best times in the 100 free.
- Andreas Rintel swam a time of 1:56.01 in the men's 200 back finals. Christopher Fristchi set a season-best with a time of 1:59.56.
- Nicolas Winograd, Nathan Booth, and Justin Sagasta all swam season-bests in the 200 breaststroke. Winograd's 2:12.68 is a MAAC top-10 time. Booth finished in 2:18.91, while Sagasta swam a 2:19.66.
- Ronen and Matthew Ricks tied in the finals of the men's 200 breaststroke with a time of 1:58.12.
- Niagara earned a ninth-place finish in the 400 free relay with a time of 3:07.71 from Crumm, Winograd, Warner, and Daniel Leskowicz.

Women's Results: Zippy Invite

Day 1:
- In the first of Friday's final events, the Purple Eagles set a new school record in the 200 free relay. Sydney Kligys, Annie Eckhardt, Julia Casolo, and Kristen Suarez completed the relay in 1:36.71, beating the old record by 24 hundredths of a second. The foursome finished 11th in the event.
- Kligys, Casolo, and Suarez also swam with Bridgette Ehrmann in the 400 medley relay, setting another program record with a time of 3:58.30.
- Hannah Charlton led the Niagara finishers in the 200 IM with a time of 2:12.12, the fastest by a Purple Eagle this season.

- In the preliminaries of the 200 butterfly, Hannah Charlton broke the program record with a time of 2:08.95. Lindsey Jackson previously set the record at 2:10.24 back in 2011. Charlton's time is the second-fastest by a MAAC swimmer this season.
- All five of Niagara's swimmers in the 200 backstroke swam their fastest times of the season, led by Angelica Gordon (2:11.56) and Lauren Nicastro (2:13.67).
- Sydney Kligys swam a 53.12 in the 100 free to lead the Purple Eagles, nearly two seconds faster than her previous low time this season. Kligys was followed in the 100 free by Kristen Suarez (54.72) and Annie Eckhardt (55.86).
- Bridgette Ehrmann now ranks in the MAAC top 10 in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:31.00. Eckhardt (2:35.85), Sarah Webber (2:36.09), and Jaime Rolf (2:43.12) also set season-best times.
- Kligys, Eckhardt, Suarez, and Julia Casolo finished the 400 free relay in 3:35.61, good for 13th at the invitational. Kligys opened the relay completing her 100 yards in 52.97, which ranks as the fastest 100-yard free time by any MAAC swimmer this season.

Last Time @ UB:
- Niagara claimed first place in six swimming events and two diving events throughout the meet.
- On the men's side, Robert Brown took first in the 50 free with a time of 21.72, while Shawn Warner won the 200 IM with a time of 1:56.11.
- Niagara took first in both of the 200 free relay events. Eric Ebert, Nick Rogers, James Crumm, and Robert Brown finished with a time of 1:28.20, while Julia Casolo, Brianna Smith, Annie Eckhardt, and Sydney Kligys clocked a 1:43.29 for the women.
- On the diving board, Emily Deck (180.53) and Cara Mergner (163.58) earned points for the Purple Eagles with the top two spots. Ryan Monteleone earned another first-place finish in the three-meter dive, scoring a 222.30.
