NIAGARA UNIV., N.Y. – The Niagara University lacrosse team has partnered with the P.U.N.T. Foundation and the Go4TheGoal's Lace Up 4 Pediatric Cancer campaign when the Purple Eagles host Mount St. Mary's on Friday, March 18 at 3 p.m. The Purple Eagles' shoelaces will be gold, the color for childhood cancer, during the game.
Niagara lacrosse will be selling raffle tickets for baskets and accepting donations all day Monday, March 14 through Thursday, March 17 in the lower level of the Gallagher Center. Raffle tickets and donations will also be accepted at the game, with all proceeds benefitting Brian Moorman's P.U.N.T. Foundation.
The team is partaking in this fundraiser in support of Niagara's Team IMPACT member,
Caralyn Reynolds, who officially became a member of the Purple Eagles lacrosse team on Dec. 4, 2015. She has successfully completed 33 months of chemotherapy after being diagnosed with brain cancer at age 7.
Next Friday's game against Mount St. Mary's will be the second home game of the week for the Purple Eagles, who face off against Cincinnati in the team's home opener on Sunday, March 13 at noon.

About the P.U.N.T. FoundationIn 2004, Brian Moorman and his wife Amber founded Brian Moorman's P.U.N.T. Foundation to make a difference in the lives of children in Western New York who are fighting cancer. A two-time Pro Bowler, Brian was the punter for the Buffalo Bills from 2001-2013 and made it a priority to use his stature as a professional athlete for the greater good. He is committed to helping continue the mission of the organization he founded in Buffalo.
The mission of the P.U.N.T. Foundation is to provide children affected by cancer and their families with the opportunities and support to enjoy the life for which they fight so hard. The Foundation provides assistance, valuable family-centered programs and events designed to enrich their lives, provide them with support and create memorable experiences.
About Go4TheGoal FoundationGo4theGoal Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization founded in 2006 by Dr. Richard and Beth Stefanacci, soon after their oldest son Richard was diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer. Go4theGoal provides children undergoing cancer treatment and their families with financial assistance, runs fun hospital-based programs, grants special wishes, and supplies state of the art electronic products to children and pediatric oncology units across the country.
