The Niagara Purple Eagles swimming and diving teams are set to compete in their first two home meets of the season this weekend. The men's and women's swimmers welcome their counterparts from the University of Waterloo on Saturday, Nov. 5 at 2 p.m. to start the weekend. On Sunday, Nov. 6, the swimmers and divers will host Colgate University, with diving events starting at 9 a.m. and swimming events starting at 11:30 a.m.

The Purple Eagles men return to action after last competing at Binghamton on Oct. 22. The women's team continues their stretch after swimming at Youngstown State last Friday, Oct. 28.

Last Time Out: Women's Team
- Several Niagara ladies posted season-best marks in their third meet of the season, a meet that ended in a 171-109 score in favor of Youngstown State.
- Julia Casolo, who won the 100 butterfly in each of her first two meets this season, posted a season-best 58.79, but finished in second place at Youngstown State by sixteen-hundredths of a second.
- Bridgette Ehrmann had a pair of strong times in the 100 breaststroke (1:11.24) and the 200 breaststroke (2:34.95).
- Sydney Kligys earned two second-place finishes with a 25.56 in the 50 free and a 55.90 in the 100 free.
- Haily Atkins (224.65), Emily Deck (211.00), and Cara Mergner (192.50) posted season-highs on the 1-meter dive.
- All three posted season-best marks on the 3-meter dive as well. Atkins scored a 217.20 to lead the Purple Eagles in that event, followed by Deck (207.60) and Mergner (204.00).

Last Time Out: Men's Team
- The Purple Eagles men return to the pool this weekend for the first time since Oct. 22, when they lost a meet at Binghamton by a score of 164.5-129.5.
- In their last meet at Binghamton, senior diver JaRon Williams became just the second Purple Eagle ever to qualify for the NCAA Zone Championships with a score of 301.57 in the 1-meter dive. He also took first place at Binghamton with a 277.50 in the 3-meter dive.
- Shawn Warner earned a trio of individual wins in the 100 butterfly (51.07), 200 butterfly (1:54.32), and 200 IM (1:55.17).
- James Crumm took second in the 100 free in 49.08. Andreas Rintel earned a third-place finish with a 54.59 in the 100 backstroke.
- Nicolas Winograd was a double-winner at Binghamton after swimming a 1:00.28 in the 100 breaststroke and a 2:15.68 in the 200 breaststroke.

Waterloo Warriors
- The University of Waterloo Warriors last competed in the OUA Sprint Invitational on Oct. 16.
- Josie Andres took first in the 50 free and second in the 50 butterfly.
- Jon Ramkissoon won the 50 breaststroke, while Aidan Chow took top honors in the 50 butterfly.
- First-year Warrior Natasha Dobos swam a 29.97 in the 50 butterfly, the fourth-fastest time in Waterloo program history.

Colgate Raiders
- Colgate enters this weekend coming off an Oct. 22 dual meet with St. Bonaventure. The Raiders will swim against Canisius on Saturday before coming to Monteagle Ridge Sunday.
- The Colgate women finished 1-2 in the 1000 free at St. Bonaventure with Michelle Dols (10:49.81) and Bernadette Tankle (10:53.66) leading the way.
- Colgate's Sam Adams earned two second-place finishes in the 100 free (54.36) and the 200 free (1:58.24).
- Kiersten Daly also finished second in two events, the 200 butterfly (2:12.28) and 400 IM (4:40.22).
- The Raiders' men finished 2-3 in the 200 backstroke, the 500 free, and the 200 breaststroke at St. Bonaventure.
- Anders Brekke swam a 4:23.67 in the 400 IM, good for second place.
